Meaning to the mundane

By

How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Significant events are the mile markers of our lives. As we continue this journey through life, each one carries us through time. They create the journey. Without them, time would feel pointless and empty.

Life and its milestones! We mark them as if they are the only moments that truly count as if the rest of existence is just filler. But tell me, if we only live for milestones, what happens to the vast space in between? Do we simply endure it, waiting for the next grand event to give our lives meaning?

Perhaps the mundane is not the enemy of meaning but its silent architect. After all, can a mountain exist without the land that holds it up? Can a great feast be enjoyed without the hunger that precedes it? Maybe our daily routines, our simple, uneventful moments, are not wasted time but the very fabric of life itself.

So let us celebrate the ordinary! The perfectly brewed cup of coffee, the satisfying crack of a book spine, the small laugh at a joke no one else heard. If we wait only for milestones, we will spend most of our lives waiting. But if we embrace the mundane, we might just find that every moment—big or small—is worth something after all.
