Remember the Ants

Proverbs 6:6-8
"Go to the ants, you slacker! 
Observe its ways and become wise.
Without a leader, administrator, or ruler,
it prepares its provisions in summer;
it gathers its food during harvest."

It is Monday and with that comes the Monday blues. The weekend is over, the work week has begun and the fight to stay motivated has it hard. At least that is what it feels like for me today.

Then I was reminded about the ants. The tireless work, The never-ending battle against everything larger than them. Yet, they work diligently without complaint.

How I long to have that work ethic! To get up before the sun with a smile that alights on my face and a pep in my step! With the Lord’s help I can, I know that’s true. I must rest in His strength. Especially when my feet begin to drag, and my heart begins to despair at the to-do list of today.
