Upcycling your pack ‘n play

By

Today the inevitable happened. My pack ‘n play of 4 almost 5 years has made its way to retirement.

Since purchasing it, it has been the crib my newborns go in their first night home, its been on many trips and spent countless hours outside. Now there are holes the size of my 4- and 3-year-old in one side. I get to retire it from being used for my babies and upgrade it to something even better! Hopefully my kids will think it’s better.

Here are some ideas I found on pinterest to help me come up with ideas for reusing my trusty friend.

  1. Creating a toddler bed by removing the netting
  2. Creating a Reading Nook
  3. Use it as a fort

The one aspect of the pack ‘n play that I have always loved is the versatility. It is a play pen, a crib, a mayhem controller (toddlers!), even a ball pit! I am sad to see mine go, but I am excited to see what the next use will be!

First, I need to get the ripped netting off and see what mine turns into!

Update:

Well, some projects make it and some do not.

Unfortunately this project was a bust. My kiddos didn’t seem to like it and our dog went in it one time.

I guess we’ll have to stick to pillow forts or blanket forts!
