A joyful heart [a]is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Proverbs 17:22
Growing up my mom would play “A Joyful Heart” by Steve Green. Now as I have own kids I will play it on our playlist. What a great reminder as Easter has come and gone, and the excitement of the day is in the past.
Do not let that joy from that day pass.
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, Easter is one of the greatest holidays you can have. Easter is the day that we celebrate our Lord’s rising from the dead and sitting at God’s right hand. We have the greatest reason to be joyful no matter the circumstances. We know we are safe and secure in the forgiveness and salvation from our sins through Jesus.
We can face whatever life throws at us with joy. We can also have peace that surpasses all understanding.
Today is Monday, let’s make it a marvelous Monday. Living in the assurance of things hoped for – eternity with Jesus. This life is fleeting, but He is eternal.
Oh Christian – rise up! Set your eyes upon Jesus and let Him be your joy. Seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness and everything else will come!
Your Monday Moment
How does knowing that Jesus is who He said He is give you joy?
Who is someone you can share that joy with today?
