Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people."
Colossians 3:23
You have a purpose.
Your job has a purpose.
Your mundane has a purpose.
What purpose?
Shining a spotlight on the God who made you. He made a way to be saved from your sins through His Son, Jesus.
There are days where it is hard to get up in the morning. I am either too tired or dreading another day of the same thing. The same arguments, the same routine, day in and day out. But I was reminded this week that my every breath has a purpose.
Yes, to bring up my children, care for them and guide them to the Lord. But more than that, I am to do all my mothering from the heart and unto the Lord. With a fervent passion to please Him over people – even my own children.
It is not easy to have this mind set, but I guess that’s why we are to have our minds renewed every day.
As this week begins, I pray that you and I can have our minds renewed, and our passions reignited with the fire of pleasing the Lord above all else.
Your Monday Moment
Where have you been struggling to find momentum in your life?
How would your life look if you woke up every day with a heart to please the Lord?
