Be still and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10
Chaos ensued this morning
5 am:
Husband is up getting ready for work.
Oldest has an accident and my husband gets him in the shower. I strip the bed then get our second oldest back in bed.
Baby wakes up
Baby cries
Oldest in the shower says “I’m done.” I get him out and back to bed.
Husband leaves for work
Baby cries again. I feed the baby and get him back to bed.
5:30 am:
Daughter wakes up crying. Baby wakes up.
I comfort my daughter and get her back to sleep.
Baby plays with the blinds by his crib.
5:45 am:
Get the baby back to sleep.
6:30 am:
Second oldest wakes up crying inconsolably. His arm had fallen asleep and his leg hurt. I finally get him back to sleep.
6:45 am:
Grab coffee. Sit down open my Bible to Psalm 46
Verses 1-9 point to our awesome God who is in control of all things. “Therefore, we will not fear…The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our stronghold.”
I was reminded that God is in my chaos. He is what holds me steady. He keeps me from going to the right or to the left. He has and will continue to sustain me. And He will do the same thing for you too.
Let go dear reader. Rest in God’s truth. Know that God is with you.
Those who have put their trust in Jesus, believe and trust in your Savior who calmed the raging sea (Mark 4:39)
"Sometimes He subdues the circumstances around us. Other times He calms the inner turmoil in our hearts and minds. And in some cases, He might allow situations to persist but provide inner peace and perspective when we seek refuge in His presence. We can cease trying to control outcomes and instead take comfort in Jesus's words 'Peace, be still'" - Eryn Lynum
