Oh the oils

Have you been frustrated by the dos and don’ts when you are looking for healthy foods to eat?

I know I do. I get extremely annoyed trying to find healthy alternatives for my family.

One easy switch I found is to use Avocado oil.

Avocado Oil has become a staple in my home for a few reasons. It is a fatty oil that is healthy for you. Because of the fat content in the oil, it is great to season cast iron pans with. I have used it as a hair mask to help my hair grow. It has also been in some of my face washes.

Cleveland Clinic states that avocado oil is a Monounsaturated fat. These fats can lower blood pressure, which is good because high blood pressure runs in my family. It has antioxidants and vitamins that are needed to fuel the body.

In fact, Harvard Health Publishing says “Avocados’ mix of fiber, healthy fat, and antioxidants — plus the presence of key minerals involved in supporting healthy blood pressure, like potassium and magnesium — may add up to better heart health.”

If you are looking for an easy switch, definitely look into using avocado oil. You can use it in cooking, baking, skin care, hair care, even stress relief!
