Two weeks down, More Grace to Come

By

This week was a doozey.

We started homeschooling on the 2nd and got through our first 5 lessons of the year.

The first week went pretty well, this week though it has been like wrangling monkeys…quite literally. We were home and steady.

This week, we have a lot of transition.  We have our first Co-Op this week too.

I was so excited to start this week, too, because I got a whiteboard for our classroom material

Our own mobile classroom!

Today had to have been the worst day these past two weeks.

None of the kids wanted to participate. I had grumpy and pouty faces looking at me. And mine morphed into angry and impatient glares and huffs.

Any other homeschoolers or teachers with me?

But as the day wound down, the afternoon calm settled onto the house. Naps were taken. Quiet one-on-one lessons were had, and we read out loud.

We all apologized to each other for being mean and unkind.

We all started over

I am hit again by the grace of my children.

Their mother can lose her temper, apologize, and they come back and forgive me and then go about as if nothing happened.

We came together and prayed for self-control and help with our anger, and the Lord is faithful and just to forgive and provided what we need.

Homeschooling is no joke, motherhood is not for the weak.

Without God it’s all impossible.

So as the weeks continue. Breath in, breath out. Continue to ask for God’s grace to overflow to those around you.
