Calling all mama and papa bears

By

I have been struggling this past week how to bring up my kids in this world. I have been shaken by all the evil that has seemed to explode since last week.

Questions have been swirling and consuming my heart and mind.

How do I encourage my kids to be respectful to those who they are speaking to, but know what is right and wrong?

How do I encourage debate in the house without getting irritated or allowing my kids to get irritated by it?

How to I encourage and develop strong intellectuals, but who can live practically?

How do I develop intellectuals who are sensitive to the pathos, ethos, and logos of an argument and people they interact with?

How do I develop discernment in them?

How can I do that now at their young ages?

To all my parents that are out there. Those who are Christ followers, who believe in Jesus and believe that His Word, the Bible, is the true Word of God and who have these questions too. Please take a moment today to listen to this podcast.

Mama Bear Apologetics

This podcast is extremely helpful and encouraging to me for several reasons. But the main reason is they explain clearly how to flourish and encourage discussions from a biblical point of view.

I listened to their podcast this morning about how to help your children process Charlie Kirk’s death. They have podcasts to help dad’s disciple their kids. They have helpful podcasts to discern what is good for your kids to watch, read, or listen to. They call it ROAR. You can teach your kids to ROAR as well!

R– Recognize the Message,

O – Offer Discernment,

A– Argue for a Healthier Approach,

R– Reinforce Through Discipleship, Discussion, and Prayer

They have become a huge resource for me as I “learn how to raise kids who think critically, love biblically, and stand firm against the cultural tide. (MBA)”

Check out their website and see what other resources they have!
