Coming soon…

By

I’m calling today “Christmas Eve-Eve,” which really just means I’m attempting to get my brain to slow down before the real chaos starts.

Every year I tell myself I won’t overdo it… and then somehow I’m still wrapping gifts at midnight, eating sugar cookies for dinner, and wondering whether I’m supposed to feel magic or exhaustion.

Maybe both?

This week I’ve been thinking about how often we treat December like a sprint — mentally, emotionally, financially. Gifts, school events, shuffling family expectations, trying not to burn out. And then January shows up and expects us to be “a new person.”

I’ve been trying to give myself permission to land a little softer this year.

For me that looks like:

  • letting some things stay undone
  • not forcing holiday perfection
  • paying attention to what my body is asking for
  • supporting our immune systems because winter always hits hard after stress

And honestly — I usually wait until after Christmas to restock wellness things. That’s just how our budget works.

So I wanted to quietly give you a heads-up — no pressure at all — that Dec 26–31 Earthley does their “Earthley Cash” thing, which is basically store credit back on anything you were already going to buy.

The only reason it matters for me personally is because December stretches our money thin, and getting a little back for winter wellness helps me not feel guilty supporting our health.

I’m mentioning it now because in a few days everything will get noisy again. This way, if you expect to replenish magnesium, immune tinctures, or whatever you ran out of — you at least know it’s happening. If not, ignore this completely and keep doing what nourishes you.

Anyway — I hope the next few days bring pockets of peace, not pressure.

And then January shows up and expects us to be “a new person.” – Haha, I haven’t ever looked at it in this particular way but you’re absolutely right. We need a better system…a softer one, as you said. Hope you have a peaceful next few days as well.
