Reading heaven

By

If I could create my own space for reading, it would be a slice of heaven. It would have to have pillows galore. A window seat looking out onto a field of wild flowers and mountains in the background. So when I opened the window, the scent of wildflowers would fill the room with their sweet, homey smells. The reading nook would face the west. That way, the evening sun would cascade its light into the room, giving it a romantic and sun-kissed look.

And the books! Oh, the books would fill the shelves from floor to ceiling! Classics, theology, mythology, biographies, beautifully bound novels!

The colors in the room would complement the nature scenes outside the window. Dark, rich green walls, rich cherry writing desk in the corner. Pillows of soft yellows and deep terracotta cushions are arranged invitingly on the window seat. Cotton throw blankets of greens and creams would be found on the window seat and the oversized armchair.

This space would invite the reader to come and relax and to escape this world into the world of literature.
