The holidays are officially wrapped. Christmas came and went, and the new year has started. If you’re anything like me, the magic and the beauty of the season are fading. When I was little, the magic lasted longer. But now that I am the one creating the ambiance, I find an equal amount of joy getting the house set back to how it was before the lights and tree went up.

I am reminded, though in the times of transition, and the changing seasons and years, that there is One person who never changes. What a comfort to know that in this life, where EVERYTHING changes, Jesus remains the same.

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never shifts under pressure. He never cracks from the stress of holding us together. He is perfectly balanced even when our scales teeter and totter.

Oh, blessed assurance! Jesus is Mine!
