Morning after morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land,
That I may cut off from the city of the Lord all those who do evil. Psalm 101:8 (Amplified Bible)
It is a daily battle and choice (Romans 7: 21-25) to choose God over the evil and sin in our hearts.
Paul writes in Romans:
For I do not understand what I am doing; for I am not practicing what I want to do, but I do the very thing I hate. However, if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, that the Law is good. But now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that good does not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh (human nature); for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I do the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin that dwells in me.
Romans 7:15-20
This is human nature is hard to ignore. It’s impossible without Jesus.

Pause.
Breathe.
Set aside your pride and shame.
Pick up God’s mercy, forgiveness, healing, lovingkindness.
Allow Him to satisfy you.
And start again.
Moment by moment.
Morning after morning.
Choose Him.
